Biography
Adrienn Újhazi (1995) is a visual – bio artist from Novi Sad, Serbia. Completed her bachelor and master’s studies till 2020 at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, at the Department of Fine Arts, study group – Painting. She worked (2020-2021.) as a professor at the high school for design „Bogdan Šuput” (Novi Sad). From 2021 she is in the status of an independent artist and continues informally to share her knowledge and experience in the alternative artistic production through various initiatives. In 2024 Adrienn has been working as an associate of the Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina (SULUV) in Novi Sad, Serbia.
She received several scholarships and awards also, actively participates in exhibitions, projects, collaborative initiatives and her work has been shown at numerous galeries, museums, festivals and other prestigious venues.
As an active member of Šok ZaDruga in Novi Sad, the ReAktor Citizens’ Association, and the Union of Associations of Fine Artists of Vojvodina (SULUV), Adrienn has contributed significantly to the local art scene. Notably, her recent project and research endeavor BIOFACTORY (2022), received support from the European Capital of Culture Novi Sad. Further affirming her artistic director practices on going project is BIOCODE (2023) supported by City Administration for Culture – Novi Sad and BIO AWAKING (2024-2025) – Creative Europe.
