You make me: la-la (2023-2024)

“You make me: la-la” multifaceted work, comprises distinct segments of bio material samples, video, audio, and a light box/object. Using the metaphorical representation of delicate biological material “SCOBY” (acronym Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) which highlights the hybrid state and transformations of an entity. The installation serves as a reflection on individuals existing in a disrupted hybrid environment, influencing on our mental and physical well-being in everyday life. Through the lens of “scobies,” the work metaphorically explores the intricate interplay between biological fragility and the hybrid nature of our existence, offering a unique perspective on the disruptions within our personal and collective realms.
